Article: Betty Ferguson Foundation Second Annual Wine & Food Tasting Event

by Lynda Elmes

On Sunday, April 13, the Betty Ferguson Foundation will host their second annual Vine 2 Wine tasting event. This exceptional event will be held at the beautiful Bridgeport Clubhouse in Valencia. Proceeds from this event will benefit women and girls programs. Tickets are $35 per person and entertainment will be provided by Andrew Hull, a guitarist, and Lindsey Hough, a well-known Santa Clarita vocalist. The price of the ticket includes five wine tastings, hors d’oeuvres, entertainment and a souvenir. Throughout the day a raffle of specialty wine gift baskets and a 50/50 drawing will be held.

Several local vendors have graciously donated all the food and wine. Valencia Wine Company, located on Valencia Town Center Drive and owned by Guy Lelarge, is donating wines from his full service wine company that has over 500 wines and wine accessories. International Wines and Liquor, owned by Lee Yoon and located on W. Lyons Avenue in the Plaza Posada Center, is donating a selection of wines. His shop specializes in fine and rare wines and has been serving the community for over 14 years. The Agua Dulce Vineyards, a partnership of Ray Watt, and Don and Cathy MacAdam, have once again donated wine. The Aqua Dulce Vineyard has successfully opened and has quickly become recognized for their fine wine, wine tasting and their boutique. They are located on Sierra Highway in Agua Dulce.

The local caterers that have graciously donated their time, energy and talents are L.A. Trends, owned by Michelle Raztlano, who specializes in only using the highest quality ingredients available. RSVP Catering, owned by Cindy Smith and Tamra Levine, pride themselves on an event you won’t forget whether it is intimate to extravagant. An Affaire Extraordinaire, owned by Gail McCroskey, is donating her services a second year in a row. Gail provides all of her parties with the ultimate catering experience.

Tickets are limited. Please call the Betty Ferguson Foundation office at 661-284-3551 to purchase tickets for this amazing event.
